Full Description
Embark on a 3-day journey into the Tunisian Sahara, combining cultural discovery, breathtaking landscapes, and authentic experiences.
Day 1:
Departure from Djerba or Zarzis via the Roman causeway and the salt lake. Arrive in Tataouine to visit the local market, followed by the exploration of several ksour (traditional grain granaries). After lunch, continue to the Berber villages of Chenini and Guermassa. Visit Ksar Haddada, a famous Star Wars filming location. Dinner and overnight in an authentic hotel in Ksar Haddada.
Day 2:
After breakfast, head to the oasis of Ksar Ghilane. Enjoy a relaxing time with a swim in the natural hot spring and optional activities such as camel riding or quad biking. Lunch on site.
Continue to Douz with a visit to the local market, then head to the Sabria desert. Settle into the camp among the dunes, discover traditional bread baking in the sand, enjoy a folkloric evening with music, and dinner under the stars. Overnight in a Berber tent (luxury tent with AC available).
Day 3:
Breakfast at the camp, then departure to Tozeur. Stop at the salt lake Chott El Jerid. Visit the mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza with their natural springs and waterfalls. Enjoy a traditional lunch before returning to Djerba.
